Hurricane Sandy No Power

 

With Hurricane Season once more upon us I think it is a good idea to revisit some common sense preparedness, and with the example of Hurricane Sandy fresh in our memories motivation shouldn’t be to hard to find. While poking around the internet I came across a great post about how one family got through 12 Days Without Power after Sandy.

    That was a good read. I think the longest we lost power was for about 6 or 7 hours after the Northridge earthquake. I’ve been preparing for another bit by bit. ar-jedi’s report, especially the inconvenient/awkward and “not going well” categories and his evaluation on what he was able to run and when has given me a good idea of what I can do since I have an eu2000i generator as well.
